It’s finally May 1st! That means Avengers: Age of Ultron is finally getting released in North America. Here in Norway we’ve already had it since April 22nd, but that doesn’t mean there’s any less reason to celebrate. Here are five things you may not know about the first Avengers movie.

1. Shawarma
The famous shawarma line near the end of the movie, spoken by Robert Downey jr, was not only added by the actor himself, replacing the line “What’s next?”, and spawned the idea of the team eating shawarma in the post credit scene. It also ended up massively boosting the sales of shawarma in Boston, Los Angeles and St. Louis.

2. Production title
To avoid the public getting hold of news too early, production titles are normally used before movies are officially announced. The production title for The Avengers was “Group hug”. Rather fitting, don’t you think? Incidentally, the production title for Avengers: Age of Ultron was “After Party”.

3. Nick Fury
When the character of Nick Fury was reimagined for the Ultimate Marvel Universe, his character was modeled after the likeness of Samuel L. Jackson. So naturally, when it was time to do casting for the role of Fury, there was really only one person they could have gone with.

4. A for stArk
While filming The Avengers, Robert Downey jr. asked if he could take home the A letter that was left hanging on the Stark tower near the end of the movie. The production manager originally refused, but ended up giving it to him later as a birthday gift.

5. More Avengers
Ant-Man and Wasp-Woman was supposed to be included in the first Avengers movie, but had to get cut because there were already too many characters. It’s understandable for the first movie, but now that the team is getting more established, and Ant-Man actually has a movie coming out soon, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he ends up joining the team for Avengers: Infinity War.

So how many of these did you already know? Were any good pieces of trivia left out? Leave them down in the comments!
